Time Management Mayhem

Find me on Facebook RosaLaRouge and follow me on Twitter MissRosaLaRouge

I'm talking on the landline while checking my e-mails on the computer, when a Facebook notification flashes up on my mobile, but I can't read it because a text comes through seconds later. I'm trying to leave home on time, so I have time to grab something to eat before I start teaching for the night....I'm a multi-tasker, and it's driving me insane!

My eyes are closed because I'm thinking about my to-do list whilst foot hooping

So, I've been doing a little research into how to work more simply and effectively, while maintaining our marbles. Here are some easy tips that we could all benefit from in the run up to Christmas....

Use a to-do list and a to-do file on your desk
In the morning, work on perhaps two or three of the most important tasks first. You'll feel better for getting the worst jobs out of the way first, and more positive about the rest of your day.

Use a notebook and diary
Carry it everywhere with you (or use the electronic notes/diary facility on your mobile phone), so you can jot down any important information and appointments, rather than forgetting as I always do!

Plan your day
Try splitting your day into one-hour blocks and allocate activities to each block, but remember to leave in between for any urgent business that crops up, and to eat!

Focus!
Ignore Facebook, Twitter, switch off your mobile, turn off the doorbell! Complete one task at a time, multitasking is less efficient and more prone to errors.

Do take time out
Do something you enjoy, relax and enjoy life - Grab your hula hoop or have a spin round your pole!

Right blogging done....time to dance!

Love from
